Update 21.20 below: There is a current power outage affecting Inveraray and surrounding areas.
Scottish Hydro say that teams of engineers are on the way to carry out emergency repairs; and that they hope to have everyone reconnected by 21.00 tonight.
They emphasise that this is an estimate only and that they will update information on their landline – 0800 300 999 – when they have any new information.
20.55 Update: Scottish Hydro are saying that the outage has been caused by a high voltage fault, that there is no reconnection estimate at present but that they will update their recorded message shortly after 21.00.
