But led by Walsh, who chose Loudon because he reckoned he could rely on her to do what he wanted, even when he didnt know what it was that he wanted!

- Simon – do you have the nerve to defend the actions of officers over the last few years – keeping elected Councillors and Conveners out of the loop, giving wrong legal rulings in order to stop actions which the elected Councillors wanted to take, faiking to get correct contractual terms for major projects. And more.
Do you actually think that these sort of things can be accepted as proper behaviour and within the contract of employment of highly paid Civil Servants?

- Margo Macdonald: an irresistible force
Just for the record on a remarkable lady’s position, in and out of the Party:
It was not the Party hierarchy, but the members in the Lothian region whose voting for the order of the list placed Margo in fifth position, a matter of personal falling out she had managed to set in train.
And as for the expulsion, the rules on obligations of membership, passed with her support when she was an office-bearer, stated, and still state, very clearly that no Party member shall stand for election in a public post against an official Party candidate. She knew it and she accepted the consequences.
But the she was big enough to maintain the cause outwith the Party and all her friends, and even those who opposed her, accepted that fact.
She will be greatly missed by many.

Your “credible sources” are just incredible. Or you get these reports from within your head, for reasons I dont understand being unacqainted with psychiatric science.
But I do ask myself – “WHY?”
- Update on SNP meeting
You really have to face the facts.
You are being fed LIES by someone whom you believe is in a position to know the truth about various matters in and around the SNP and the Council.
Either that or these stories come from your fecund imagination.
I only wish I knew who is your “source”, if anyone, and more importantly why he (or she)is at it. Perhaps you should ask yourself that question – it might put the “truth” in perspective.
But you, however, should face the facts, 2 out of 3 of your pieces in the last few weeks are based on nothing more than lies or imagination. This is not anything I, or you, would elevate to the standard of journalism.
ps And my identity is correct, and actionable by anyone who is prepared to put their version before a jury.
- SNP Constituency Association Convener’s email tells a tale
Problem with “local” not “party” councillors is that they appeal for votes on the basis of the “good guy” label. They do not believe it is necessary to have a manifesto, or even the basis of a programme for government, certainly not for change. So they end up as the lobby fodder for someone like Cllr Walsh who knows he wants power, doesnt have to say what he will do with it, and can have the fodder wait to see which way he will jump before they make up what they would think was their opinion, even their minds.”Party” representatives are elected on the basis of a manifesto, a promise, to their electorste and are accountable to the voters when they wish to be re-elected. If you havent promised anything (except perhaps to do your best) it is a bit difficult to be held accountable for nothing specific.
