Argyll and The Isles Tourism Partnership held its AGM on 18th April.
This was the last under its current Chair, Provost of Argyll and Bute, Councillor William Petrie, who is leaving local politics at the council elections on 3rd May 2012.
Thirty members of the body turned up for the AGM to bid farewell to Provost Petrie.
The new Chair elected at the meeting is Calum Ross of the Loch Melfort Hotel, who is also Chair of the British Hospitality Association in Scotland.
The meeting also elected the Duchess of Argyll as a Director.
Mr Ross will serve as Chair for the following year, after which the intention is to rotate the chairmanship annually in order to bring to bear all of the expertise available to the body.
