Comment posted School Dinners stooshie: young Martha Payne has the right pedigree by Iain McCallum.
But in fairness, she does compliment some of the meals, it was just the (particularly) miserly ones that the national press highlighted. That said, it is a good blog and well done to a switched on 9 year-old.

- Cinema operator appointed to Campbeltown Picture House
My thoughts exactly when I saw Mr Arthur had been appointed. I don’t doubt his credentials, but there are a finite amount of people with a finite amount of disposable income in the Kintyre area. The good folks in the Wee Toon and surrounding areas already put their hands in their pockets disproportionally for charities and good causes each and every week. They will still only use the Pictures as a treat and watch a film once, no matter how new and good that film is. I still believe that the locals will continue to support the Wee Pictures, because they have fought so hard to keep it, but don’t let the management get too far ahead of themselves
- Scotland 5th in Rugby’s 6 Nations Cup
We ARE getting a new coach, but sadly the fool Johnson is being retained as the Director of Rugby with responsibility for the professional game. He has messed up the current squad, and will do equal harm for the future of Scottish rugby. He is never a head coach, always a number 2. When he left the Ospreys the players were reported as saying they had no idea what he wanted them t do. Good riddance say, and the sooner he goes completely the better

Well done the Wee Toon for another coup. I wish I could get “home” for this event.
- Jackie Baillie’s ‘bedroom tax’ protection bill moves forward with cross-party support
I didn’t notice, but I understand that the adjustment of benefits was previously done for those in private rented. And I am sure that there was no uproar or demonstrations, hence me seeming to have not noticed it. But for some reason (political expediency?) there seems to be uproar now when the benefits. Makes me ‘ead hurt

As an exiled Scot who doesn’t get a vote on the future of my country, I would like to ask what happens if the vote is “No”? Does it go like Wales, when the Welsh had a vote for devolution and voted no, but then they kept having a vote every 10 years or so until the Nationalists got the “right result”. Just wondering out loud
