Well done the GB women rowers. They cruised it.

- Walsh to lead all but Lib Dems, Conservatives and George Freeman
The SNP are incompetent and impotent. For all their promises and posturing their nasty little civil war, whilst it might be over, is far from forgotten. Who could forget that the SNP ‘record’ to date has been w-e-l-l inglorious at best.
In less than a year they’ve :-
‘Lost’ two Leaders,
‘Lost’ two Councillors,
Local branches attacked their Leader and his policies,
The SNP Constituency Chairman tried to persuade SNP Cllrs to vote against their own SNP budget proposals
SNP supporters have attacked other SNP Cllrs calling them “Traitors” and “duplicitous”
Lost the Administration
Behaved like a slut jumping in and out of bed with a variety of partners in a vain attempt to cling to power
Finally, and despite having the largest number of Cllrs – Dick Walsh looks likely to be back in charge – with the SNP reduced to a supporting role.SNP: incompetent and impotent.
- James Robb, as the cordite clears
Gobbells knew if you repeat a lie often enough people will believe it.That’s why it’s important to stop Fletcher of Buffoon when he lies. For example “Anyone suggesting that Dick Walsh should be brought back in or that the Con-Dems are given a whiff or power again… They almost caused the bankruptcy of the Council”.
Lie. Untrue. Lie. Fabrication. Lie. Never happened. Lie. Economical with the truth. Lie. SNP. Lie.
Dick Walsh’s budgets were all passed with no dissenting voice and there was never any question of the Council almost being made bankrupt under the previous administration.
Fletcher’s claim is a complete and utter SNP lie.
The Buffoon might have wished that was the case – but it never was. Given the on-going omnishambles of a pantomime that the SNP have visited on Argyll – you would’ve thought the SNP would’ve learned that humility and honesty can go along way – but they haven’t they still lie.
- Withdrawals move numbers against proposed new coalition
Dave, we all know that individual SNP members are being contacted and informed ‘that if you support this coalition you will be expelled from the party’.So Trail, Lousie Glen (“the most duplicitous person I’ve ever met”: Breslin) Sandy Taylor and the other “traitors” have “also refused to follow Robb” not from principle or conviction but from coercion.
Doesn’t really bode well for the future now does it….

- Proposed posts for proposed new council coalition administration
Newsie, “Councillor Kinniburgh sees what we believe is his first ever sniff of power – as Depute Lead Councillor for Planning and Regulatory Services – the traditional honeypot brief.~”What you mean by “the traditional honeypot brief” ??
- Proposed posts for proposed new council coalition administration
As I’ve said already this is a shambles. The behaviour of the SNP (including the ex-SNP, the resigned SNP, the suspended SNP and the still-as-yet-in-the-SNP) has been a complete disgrace. Their language about each other has been intemperate, their actions reprehensible and it does seem that they are only concerned about their puffed-up-egos and positions and continuing to stab their ex-colleagues in the chest.
Civil wars normally follow independence – but not in the case of the Argyll and Bute SNP.
The tragedy of course is that this is not over by a long shot. Civil wars leave festering memories and revenge is in the air as these internal conflicts shows no sign of receding.
The losers in all of this? Those deluded fools who voted SNP believing in a bright new dawn certainly, but actually all of us who live and work in in Argyll and Bute as the SNP Cllrs and erstwhile SNP Cllrs continue with their bloody civil war rather than getting on getting on with the job they were elected to do.
But perversely this might yet turn out to be of long-term benefit as quite frankly the antics of these amateurs in the Argyll and Bute SNP is the best advert EVER for a resounding NO vote!

What a fantastic achievement, and it just shows the benefit of a union between Scotland and England in forming a strong GB.

Hang on, who do you classify as a Scot? She was born in Somerset and now lives in Scotland. Does that make her a Scot? If so, what about those like Chris Hoy who live in England but were born in Scotland? You can’t have it both ways.

The Scottish Government has claimed her here – http://www.sisport.com/sisport/7330.html – as ‘a Scot who has made onto Team GB for London 2012′.
We have made inquiries and found that Heather Stanning has lived in Lossiemouth in Moray since she was something like ten years of age and is happy to be seen as a Scot.

All being equal & assuming Heather gets picked, will she be representing Scotland or England in the Commonwealth games?

You can indeed have it both ways! If you are born in Scotland…you will always be a Scot.
But, if you come to live in Scotland and feel Scottish then that is also ok.
See, it’s not difficult at all!
