I didn’t even bother to read down through your oh so predictable let’s bash fish farming diatribe. Why can’t you actually applaud a home industry that appears to be leading the world, and bringing enormous value to Scotland, without resorting to the same old anti arguments?
And before the usual suspects come out with the usual howls of protest, I am not a fish farmer nor do I have any connections with Marine Harvest.

Open mind syndrome works both ways Robert.
Please come up with better analogies, you are really scraping the bottom of the barrel to compare fish farming with slavery,in fact I consider it insulting to the locally based workforce employed in the industry here in Argyll
An £80m investment in the present economic climate is to be applauded not decried.
Since all the usual suspects are or will be shortly on their high horses decrying this investment, please tell me where and what companies have made or intend to invest £80m in the West of Scotland or indeed the whole of Scotland.
I am not in nor have been employed in the fish farming industry.

Robert, I read SD comments as criticising a somewhat biased anti-fishfarming article.
To put some points not mentioned, MH intend to invest £15m in a smolt hatchery and further significant investment in processing which will create employment in an area crying out for it.

It was a poor response and not up to your usual standard Mr Wakeham. Bringing slavery and child labour into the argument is a bit extreme.
And how can you possibly know what I think anyway?
I do, however, believe that fish farming is worthy of more credit than the repetitive critical drivel FA churns out on the subject every time.
