This sort of thing does my head in. These people are being threatened with being thrown out yet thousands are let in every flippin month on dodgy student visas.
Disgraceful. Almost makes the case for Scottish Immigration on its own.

Hearing that too, from the Helensburgh Advertiser - Argyll and Bute Council: the serious stuff
I see this new superschool being forced through. Obviously, this is a set-up by Mr Sneddon to control the situation and ensure he gets the result he wants. Not what is perhaps what the communities want, or even what is best for Argyll & Bute. This has legal challenge stamped all over it.
However, lets all sit back and get the calculators warmed up and see how Mr Sneddon makes magical mathematics out of this one.

When you read things like this you just want to pound your head off the nearest brick wall in frustration. It is always said that the funny thing about common sense is that it is so rare but it is obviously entirely absent in the Home Office. “The Sabbath was made for Man and not Man for the Sabbath”, should be in big letters in all civil servants’ offices. This is a minor technical problem and the Boyds are clearly not a threat to either the security or economic well being of the Sate – quite the contrary. All it requires is for someone to make a decision but these are an anathema to career civil servants who feel compelled to go by the narrowest interpretation of the rules lest they create a precedent.
Let’s hope that common sense does indeed prevail (as my head is becoming sore and I’m not sure how much more the wall can take).
