The video from RESCUE 137 has the position …

Comment posted BBC news piece with helicopter footage of derailed freight train on West Highland Line by Lundavra.

The video from RESCUE 137 has the position of the helicopter displayed at the bottom of the frame. I converted it to NGR and looked up on the map as none of the news reports gave the position. It is about 2.5 miles from Fersit so about 2 miles from the nearest road (or track) by the East end of the dam.

BBC iPlayer cannot be viewed outside the UK at the moment (except for some trials I believe). In event of independence a programme broadcast in Scotland might not even be able to be viewed online in England and Wales because of rights issues. A non-Scottish BBC probably would not cover a town in Scotland in a programme on British towns so it would have to compete with other foreign countries for airtime. A Scottish equivalent of the BBC would have to find the resources to make the series and then sell to other broadcasters in competition with all the other programmes being sold.
  • First Minister’s choice not to condemn mob behaviour proves Farage point
I wonder what would happen if the taxi drivers refused to carry a black, Muslim, homosexual etc passenger.

Compare the fuss there was when London Underground refused to accept Scottish pound notes last year. Big outcry in some of the Scottish press though all sorted out by Boris Johnson very quickly.

I am surprised that Edinburgh allows their taxi drivers to discriminate against passengers on the grounds of ethnicity, nationality or politics.

Salmond has previous condemned anti-English behaviour by quite small groups, usually football supporters but I have heard him speak out previous when there has been racist behaviour by groups of people in Scotland.

So you can only have a conversation with a group of people in a pub if you reserve a private room? Otherwise it is perfectly acceptable for a mob to come in a shout down your conversation.
  • First Minister’s choice not to condemn mob behaviour proves Farage point
So it is acceptable to prevent someone speaking and shout them down, provided you call them a ‘racist’. That word gets bandied around far too much and often by people who could be described themselves as racist.

Don’t forget that Farage is married to a foreign national yet gets accused of being racist and hating foreigners.
