Seil Natural History Group on field trip to Castle Stalker

The January 2012 Field Trip for the energetic Seil Natural History Group is to the Jubilee Bridge and Castle Stalker.

The plan is to spend the morning walking to the Jubilee bridge and footpath around the shores of Loch Laich to the bird hide; and then to return back north along the cycle track to The Knap and Dallens Bay, by mid-afternoon.

It’s on Saturday 21st January. The meet is at a layby on the main A828 road at GR NM929492, just above North Dallens where the newly laid ‘Sustrans’ track of the old dismantled Caledonian railway forms a perfect walkers and cyclists highway all the way to Appin village and beyond.

Everyone is asked to wear suitable clothing for the conditions with wellingtons or boots.

A packed lunch is advisable as Castle Stalker View Cafe is closed in January.
