Traffic Scotland flags up increased landslide risk on A83

The recent spell of continuous heavy rain has brought warning from Traffic Scotland of the inevitable increased risk of landslides on the A83 – at the known points of danger.

These are:
▪ on the westbound rise to Rest and Be Thankful, north of Arrochar and before the junction with the B828 to Lochgoilhead;
▪ and on the far side of ‘The Rest’, west of Butter Bridge, in the section near the junction of the A83 with the A815 to Dunoon and Cowal.

Keep an eye on the electronic roadside warnings of the state of the hazard and be watchful.
