October is an exciting time for the petrol heads here in Argyll with the Mull Rally into its second year ‘under new management’ and this year it is preceded by the IRC Rally of Scotland and the Scottish Motorsport festival.
The Mull car club have anounced that entries for the best rally in the world have been healthy with well over 90 entrants now in place. The event on the 14th 15th and 16th October takes on a new exciting route on the closed roads of the island whilst more than retaining the classic stages the rally is famous for.
Top ten finishers Stephen and Kevin Lockhart (Oban) and previous winners Calum Duffy and James MacGillivray from Mull are among the local Argyll drivers on the list whilst they will be tested by the tourists from further afield including John Cope, John Cressey and Tony Bardy.
