Earlier today Ellis Cameron signalled arrival at the mudfest that isn’t – yet. Now the Combo’s lead, Campbell, is on song at the annual music festival.
He reports: ‘Great journey down – got the tent up dry and had a wander about the site. Already amazingly busy – 93,476 on site at 10am today and boy is it busy! Lots of mud from the down pours yesterday but after a wet start today it is sunny now. We went to enjoy a beer.
‘We are here for Year 4 and the sun is shining again. Now don’t believe all you read in the press – the wee shower last night and today has gone and its wall to wall sunshine – until Sunday!
‘We began by staying out of the rain while everyone else fought for the loo and the showers. Oh yeah – posh camping for us. Then it was off to find the press office. That all important piece of info saves a lot of walking between stages. Pass acquired it is breakfast time.
‘The choice is amazing and you can be as healthy as you like – or any combination of english breakfast you fancy.
‘Then it was away to find my pal Jim at the Jazz and Blues stage. He is the publicist this year and was soon charged with getting me a chat with Sandi Thom later. Now I am off to meet the boss, Michael Eavis.
‘More later.’
