The A83 is closed in both directions at Dunderave, between Inveraray and Clachan of Cairndow. Traffic is diverted via Crianlarich in both directions.
An HGV timber lorry overturned just before 4.30pm today and shed its load of logs. There are no serious injuries involved.
As of 20.10 (28th March 2011) local police are at the scene and are directing an operation designed to get one lane opened.
With logs to move, this is not going to be quick and Strathclyde Police, at the moment, can give no specific time for this but work is ongoing.
Update 20.00: One lane has now been opened to allow traffic to pass in both directions.
