Forteith’s judged Scotland’s best

The calibre of Forteith Foodservice has been recognised twice at the recent prestigious Scottish Wholesale Achievers Awards.

It received:

• the accolade of ’2011 Best Foodservice Wholesaler-Delivered’ in Scotland
• a ‘Highly Commended’ for ‘Best Marketing Initiative’, given for its West Highlands and Islands Tradeshow which takes place in Oban this coming Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th February.

Despite a rigorous audit process and being up against ‘multi billion’ turnover competitors, industry experts recognised Forteith’s as being the absolute best in Scotland.

This is a major achievement and is testament to the quality of staff and services the business has to offer.

It’s recent projects such as creating unique supply partnerships with local producers was one of the many areas that the judges – rightly – picked up on. They were also hugely impressed with the scale of the West Highlands and Islands Tradeshow (now in its 32nd year) and the breadth of exhibitors involved.

With around 1,000 trade customers expected to visit this years show next week, it is now classed as one of the largest Food & Drink tradeshows in Scotland.

In a field of specialist food and drink fast becoming centrally important to Argyll, Forteith’s commitment to first class service and to supporting producers in a range of innovative ways of securing and developing their businesses could not be more deserving of this signal recognition.

And this puts fuel in the tank of the unique west coast town of Oban and of Argyll.
