Second chilly medevac in 48 hours for Oban Lifeboat

Last night the doughty Mora Edith Macdonald was out in what her coxswain Ronnie MacKillop described as ‘Baltic conditions’.

Tonight she faced the cold again in another rescue mission to the Isle of Mull.

She – Oban’s Lifeboat,  launched at 18.11 on Thursday evening, 23rd December 2010, to evacuate a male patient from Mull to hospital in Oban.

The patient was taken aboard the lifeboat at Craignure at 19.24 and, on arrival in Oban at 19.55, was transferred by ambulance to Lorn and the Islands Hospital.

The lifeboat was refuelled and ready for service again at 20.15.
