School closures: Argyll and Bute births 1999-2009 ward by ward

To assist parent and community groups campaigning to save their rural school from closure, the Scottish Rural Schools Network website has uploaded some helpful statistical material to its website.

This includes statistics for birth rates in Argyll and Bute for the decade from 1999-2009, ward by ward. Scroll down the page and you will see – flagged as ‘New’ this material under two sections: ‘Links General’ and ‘Documents’.

The Scottish Rural Schools Network is also prepared to help parent or community campaigns if they hit any difficulties with getting or using statistical material. Contact info@srsn.org.uk in the first instance and one of the team will get back to you.

To refer to analysis and advice we have published and will publish on this matter, clicking on the ‘Save our Schools’ box on the top right of this page will produce a list of articles.
