Where is Labour leadership candidate Andy Burnham on holiday?

We don’t know whether he’s arriving by train from Edinburgh as others will be tomorrow but… does that give you a clue?

Yes, indeed. Mr Burnham has chosen Oban and has rented a property not far from the town.

Evidently all of the Labour Leadership candidates are on holiday this week, agreeing a campaign truce to let them all wind down.

Ed Balls, who is in New England and Diane Abbott, who’s not gone away but would seem to have a more exotic destination in line for later, are bucking the trend set by the narrow majority of 3-2.

Like Burnham, the  Milibands are also in the UK – Ed in the metropolitan favourite of Cornwall and David in Northumberland.

At least Burnham’s got taste.

  1. kintyre1 gets more comical every time I look into ForArgyll. I wonder if Alex Salmond would get the same sympathetic consideration if he was on holiday in Argyll. I can just imagine kintyre1 walking up and down outside the holiday cottage all night with a loudhailer, insulting the SNP for all his usual illogical reasons, the main one being that the SNP are not Labour Party members. And who is this Andy Burnham fellow anyway?
