The Mid Argyll Pipe Band, Scotland’s oldest, is undertaking a 12 hour piping and drumming marathon event this weekend.
Saturday 26th June 2010, North Church Hall Ardrishaig – 9.00am-9.00pm. The event is open to the public for teas, coffees and home baking all day and there are three performances outdoors at 11.00am, 3.00 pm and 7.00pm.
The band has – a great sign of its vitality – no fewer than 11 new young members coming into the band and they need to be kitted out at £700 each.
Then is is are travelling to Northern Ireland in September, to the Broadisland Festival and needs to raise funds for that.
