Oban Lifeboat out again to fisherman in water

The Oban Lifeboat was out on a shout in the early hours this morning -  launched just after 1.00am.

There was a fisherman in the water off Oban’s Railway PIir, calling for help and unable to re-board the boat from which he had fallen.

Because the man had been in the water for some time, the lifeboat took him to the Port Beag slip from where he was transferred to Lorn & the Islands General Hospital by ambulance.

The Mora Edith Macdonald, efficiency to the fore, was ready for service again at  01.48 hours.
