Comment posted Council issues prompt response on Martha Payne’s NeverSeconds clampdown by Grant MacDonald.
Maybe it’s just me but the £77k (currently) raised for Mary’s Meals has actually lifted my spirits.
The fact it took the unwitting collaboration of an unfortunate headline in an unfortunate newspaper and the incompetence of a council often ‘at war’ with those it is supposed to serve is perfect.
Two wrongs can actually make a right.

The current horror story regarding a cover up of politically privileged London paedophiles will perhaps be the last straw for a lot of folk, given it follows on from anti-eu sentiment which has been ignored by our wise London political betters. Along with London politically driven gay marriage thing and London political anti-smoking, London political anti-drinking, grubby London political expenses and London politically driven ant- whatever else it takes Winston Smith to get through the day!
I once worked in London… Dreadful place for me and that Tennants ‘Caledonia’ advert described me to a ‘T’. Which was rather apt, given their product which I cannot drink.
