Lothian and Borders Police have announced that they are to base in Lochgilphead four members of the team investigating the assumed murder of Suzanne Pilley.
They have received over 80 reports of sightings of the silver coloured family car whose movements on 5th May in Argyll they have been trying to trace.
CCTV images recorded the presence of the car in Callendar and Tyndrum in Stirling, and in Inveraray, suggesting that this may have been its route to the access point to Argyll Forest at Rest and Be Thankful on the A83.
This area has become the major focus for the police investigations and for what is becoming a major and methodical search of a huge and difficult terrain.
The police suspect that Ms Pilley’s body may have been dumped from the car somewhere on this area; and the narrow Hell’s Glen forest road is of particular interest, running west from north of Lochgoilhead through to Loch Fyne.
