Actors to promote Iceland as travel destination

Help is at hand to counter the negative coverage of the volcanic eruption and the ash cloud from Iceland’s Eyjafjallajokull volcano. It is also designed to contribute to the recovery of this island economy from the impact – even more crushing than our own, of the collapse of banks and financial institutions.

British actor Stephen Fry and Danish-American actor Viggo Mortensen have agreed to participate in an initiative to promote Iceland as a travel destination.

The initiative will be helped by the recent pronouncements of Iceland scientists that the volcano can now be said to be inactive.
