Inveraray Marketing Group – IMaGe – has launched a major upgrade to its website, building on its measureable successes in attracting business and interest to the town.
The site had 41,000 visitors last year. Of these:
- 25,500 of them looked for somewhere to stay.
- 24,400 looked for something to do whilst in the area.
- 8,300 visitors looked for somewhere to eat and drink.
- 7,000 checked out the town’s inaugural Bluebell Festival in May.
The site’s webmaster is John Patrick of Argyll Adventure, who voluntarily provides, maintains and hosts it for the Group, whose Honorary Secretary he is.
He reports visitor numbers growing each year as more come to rely on the consistent and clean marketing message delivered by IMaGe and its website: inverary-argyll.com.
The upgraded site has new pages of information on the area. The Town page has a virtual walk through. There is a version of the site adapted for mobile devices. This version look a bit odd if viewed on a laptop or desktop but looks good on the mobile device for which it is designed.
Listing are free (and offer a lot for free) but IMaGe has added the option of extra features available for a small contribution to aid further destination marketing for the Inveraray and District area.
Every penny IMaGe receives for these modest fees for enhanced listing is spent on purchasing further Destination Inveraray & District advertising – meaning that money spent on these features carries a double benefit.
IMaGe is an energetic group whose members are working collaboratively on the cross marketing strategies it rightly understands to be the foundation of successful destination marketing. One example of this is the current collaborative initiative between Inveraray Castle, Inveraray Jail and Auchindrain Township Museum: The Duke, The Judge, The People.
Last year IMaGe created and launched the successful Bluebell Festival as part of the 2009 Year of Homecoming.
