The hauntingly beautiful Lesley Cox, who composed the stand out hit, Love Song, recorded by Elton John and who lived on Argyll’s Isle of Mull with her husband Tony, has died in her early sixties from cerebrovascular disease.
Her highly successful life in the music business was something she set aside to live a very different and gentle life on the island, gardening and contributing to the life of the community who had no idea of her previous career.
Today’s (20th March) Daily Mail carried a full page article on Lesley Cox – or Lesley Duncan, as she was known in the music industry, dominated by an unforgettable photograph, reminding those who knew her in music and on Mull of what they have lost.
