Scotland TranServ has announced the overnight closure of the A82 at Crianlarich from Monday 22nd March or road improvement works. These will be carried out – between 2200hrs and 0600hrs – by a number of road squads.
The project – expected to last two nights (weather permitting) – is designed to improve safety at the double bend under the railway bridge in Crianlarich.
The works are to be carried out by Scotland TranServ on behalf of Transport Scotland. They include High Friction Surfacing.
The work will require the closure of the A82 between the A82/A85 Junction at Crianlarich and the A82/85 Junction at Tyndrum.
Local access for residents will be maintained and a signed diversion route will be in place. Through traffic will not be permitted apart from the Emergency Services.
Information Boards have been erected on all major connecting routes to warn of the closure.
Motorists have been urged to consult the Traffic Scotland website for up to date information and plan their journeys to avoid the closures, or allow extra time for their journeys.
