Oban Concern for Palestine: public meeting

The Oban Concern for Palestine group is calling its next public meeting for 7.30pm on  Sunday 21st March at The Church Centre.

Everyone, whatever their opinion, is welcome.

The group, founded in November 2008 following a public meeting, has grown steadily and now has 31 members.

The meeting on 21st March will hear two first class speakers:

  • Wael Shawish, born in Jerusalem and living in Glasgow for 25 years, is Chair of the Scottish Friends of Palestine and, within his address, will talk on the suggested boycott of Israeli goods.
  • Barrie Levine, born in Scotland and now a lecturer at Glasgow Caledonian University is a member of Jews for Justice for Palestine and is Chair of Scottish Jews for a Just Peace.
