Bute 2020 is wasting no time – leading by example in cranking up its planning engine.
After the event, Donna Chisholm for the Mount Stuart team, who hosted the event, circulated a direct question as part of the feedback requested from delegates.
The question was: ‘Do you feel the formation of an executive group is the right step forward, and if so who do you feel should be represented on the group?’
An unequivocal 95% of those who responded agreed that setting up an executive group was the way to go. So that’s what will happen – and the sooner the better. The Bute 2020 event cranked up a lot of momentum. Acting quickly while that propulsion is still in the vehicle is tactically productive.
The nest stage is deciding who should be represented on the executive group. As a starting point, Donna Chisholm is suggesting:
- A Mount Stuart representative
- A Bute Estate representative
- An Isle of Bute Marketing Group representative
- An Isle of Bute Food & Craft Group representative
- A local councillor
- A representative from Rothesay Joint Campus
- A Bute National Farmers Union representative
- A representative from Discover Bute Landscape Partnership Scheme
- A representative from Caledonian MacBrayne
- A representative from Highlands & Islands Enterprise
- A local business owner
- A representative from the Rothesay Pavilion Redevelopment project
With making progress and maintaining momentum a key focus, Donna Chisholm would appreciate suggestions as soon as possible on who else might be approached. Email: donna@mountstuart.com
