Blooming Mull calls on Mora Edith Macdonald – again

The lady in question is, of course, the Oban Lifeboat and Mull is blooming indeed, with the lifeboat performing yet another Pregevac. Yes, You can guess.

The midwife of the Firth of Lorn launched at 24 minutes past midnight this morning to assist in the transfer of a pregnant lady from the Isle of Mull to Oban.

With her crew and two paramedics, the lifeboat arrived at Craignure at 00.54 and departed with the patient in short order at 01.06.

After an uneventful passage, the patient was disembarked for transfer to Lorn and the Isles Hospital at 01.40.   The lifeboat was re-fuelled and ready for service at 01.54 – exactly one hour from launch.
