Scottish Conservative Leader, Annabel Goldie, is visiting Argyll on Friday 19th March, with Jamie McGrigor, Highlands and Islands MSP and Argyll resident.
Their itinerary for the day will see them start in Oban and move south, ending up in Lochgilphead. Details are:
- 11.15am. Meeting with Oban Bay Marine Company at Eeusk Seafood Restaurant, North Pier, Oban
- 2.15. Short meeting with local farmers at at Rhudle Farm, by Kilmichael Glassary Lochgilphead
- 3.30. Meeting with Directors and supporters of the Mid Argyll Swimming Pool, Oban Road, Lochgilphead.
Note the words ‘…and supporters of Mid Argyll Swimming Pool’.
This is one of those ‘Be there’ occasions. In the interests of saving the pool, no opportunity should be missed to impress on anyone in a position of influence just how important the Mid Argyll Pool is to every aspect of its community. Politicians may not remember everything you say – but they notice numbers and they log commitment.

The great puzzle deepens. Where is Gary Mulvaney? The Tories appear to have given up on putting in a fight for Argyll and Bute in May. Is there something we don’t know yet?

has argylls snp organisation collapsed ?
given the many troubles afflicting the party in argyll it would be no surprise . there has been the outrage caused by snp argyll contact alan clayton and the civil war over the expulsion of helensburgh snp councillor mr robb to name but two
a look at snp argylls website shows latest upcoming events as being on 11th august 2006! hardly the sign of a party on the march – more like a moribund one heading for defeat at the general election

They seek him here
they seek him there
the TORY PIMPERNEL
He is never at Kilmory, never at a meeting.
Ashcrofts already sussed, he’s going to be beaten,
Perhaps he is in a garage fixing broken Toyota’s,
Big Annabels maybe told him, “you’d better stick to motors”
He is never on the stump, with Jamie and the Clan,
Gary Mulvaney, the Tories invisible man.

What poetry!
As Heather Mills is reported to have said “I’m stumped”
Very bad taste. I know.

Could kintyre1 be Alan Reid?
It is the extravagnt use of “outrage” and “civil war”
Relax. It is a cunning plan to lull you into a false sense of security.
