Generous donation to Oban Lifeboat

Mr and Mrs Peter Weir, owners of North Ledaig Caravan Site, north of Oban at Benderloch, presented yet another cheque to the Station last week.

For many years, the Weirs have given substantial sums to local charities.

Katie Weir explained that, included in the ‘rent’ which their boat-owning customers pay for ‘parking’ their vessels in the caravan site, is a donation to charity – and this year the RNLI is the beneficiary.

Last week’s donation brings the total of the Weir’s donations over the past six months to £4,000.

Long may caravanners bring their boats with them to Ledaig.
