Highland Airways has just informed us that, as already reported, its Board has been seeking new investment and has been in discussion with several parties.
These parties are said to be pursuing their interest with urgency and vigour but naturally need time fully to understand the business and to have discussions with key stakeholders before fully making a commiment.
Highland Airways management has been actively facilitating and speeding this process.
For the past few days whilst matters were uncertain, the company closed the online booking service, accepting bookings only for the current day’s flights.
Last night the online booking system was reopened to accept booking on all its flights until this Sunday – 31st January.
Flights beyond Sunday cannot currently be booked and prospective travellers are asked to check back at the end of the weekend.
Highland Airways hopes, by that stage, to be close to knowing whether the long term future has been secured, with full functionality then being restored.
The company wishes again to thank the may messages of support it has been receiving from its customers and others. It asks for continued ‘indulgence and patience while we work through this difficult time’.
