This initiative was born from the work in putting together the final version of the Loch Fyne Integrated Coastal Zone Management Plan (ICZM).

Staff used the Council’s LocalView mapping software to develop a marine nap of Loch Fyne and to populate it with a real depth of information from the Plan, creating a user-driven way to present and access this sort of public information.

It is a superb resource – but don’t expect it to rush out to greet you with all lights flashing.

This is a serious information bank. It doesn’t second-guess what you might want but it provides the means for you to track down what you want to know.

Use it, benefit from it and if you have any good ideas, we’re sure the energetic and enterprising Council staff who produced this will be glad to hear from you.

Go to the Council’s webpage on the Loch Fyne ICZM, which has just been launched and is important to know about. Scroll down to the paragraph headed ‘Access the Plan through an online mapping tool’ and click on LocalView.
