Police have discovered 700 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £200,000 at a house in Craigendoran Avenue in Helensburgh in a late raid last  night (1st December).

A 39 year-old man was arrested and will appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Thursday.

The cannabis farm in question was said by Police to be ‘a potentially lethal fire hazard’. This is due to the electrical installations, often haphazard and less than skilled, that such pot plants require to provide the temperature and conditions they need to mature.
