Phil Burns from AnElephantCant - the innovative and successful Helensburgh children’s publishers and creators of waje (you must know what this is by now) – has just doodled this Robin as: ‘a Merry Xmas to both our readers. And their cat.’
Brian Cairnduff, partner in the crime of creative subversion that is AnElephantCant, has penned a rhyme to go with it:
Phil has just doodled this Robin
An offence back when I was a lad
You can sketch a sparrow
Or draw a wee dove
But to doodle a Robin? That’s bad!

Robins just love to be doodled
So do it whenever you can
This time of the year, doodle one without fear
But beware……………….if Robin’s a man!!!

Hi there Phil and Brian have a very Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year .
To see a robin puts a smile on everybodys face
It takes them from their life to a better place
For christmas is not joyful for everyone alive
But for a better world we all must strive

So all the people in this world can live a life of joy
Whether your a dad a mum a girl or a boy
For happiness is such a pleasure for everyone to share
To give to the world bunddles of love and care

I will finish this poem with what i have to say
That we can all live in peace one day
And when that robin once more comes here to stay
It will hear the laughter of children out to play.
