As of 23rd November 2009 at 11:03 am a FLOOD WATCH in in place for Argyll rivers and Loch Lomond.

The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) says:

‘A period of further rainfall is forecast for this area today and heavy rainfall is forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday and given that the river and loch levels remain high, combined with saturated catchments could lead to some localised flooding.

‘Loch Lomond levels remain high. Coastal flooding of properties and roads in the Loch Lomond area and localised flooding of low lying areas may be expected.

This FLOOD WATCH is now in force until further notice.

In rspect of other Argyll areas, SEPA issued an ALL CLEAR last night for the Firth of Lorn coast from the Mull of Kintyre to Ardnamurchan Point; and it has now issued an ALL CLEAR for the Firth of Clyde coast.
