Oban Lifeboat gets 83 year old to hospital

Oban Lifeboat, Mora Edith MacDonald, was on a shout earlier tonight on its latest medevac.

It launched at 16.35 to go to Craignure on Mull to pick up an 83 year-old lady who needed to be taken to hoispital in Oban.

The crew were accompanied on the shout by 2 paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service who attended the elderly lady throughout the journey.

The Lifeboat was back in Oban at 17.50. Once the patient was transferred to Lorn and the Isles Hospital in Oban, the Lifeboat returned to station for refuelling and was ready for service again at 18.15.
