Commenting – in typically forthright style – on the news of £600,000 of funding to be shared equally between Dunoon and Bowmore from the final tranche of the Town Centre Regeneration Fund, Gary Mulvaney,Conservative Parliamentary candidate says:
‘This is excellent news for both communities and is tangible proof of Conservative success in the last Scottish Budget. It is further help for struggling communities in Labour’s recession, and along with the substantial business rate reductions secured by the Conservatives it is clear that help for our small towns and small businesses only happens with Conservative pressure’.
‘This funding would not have been available if Labour and the Liberal Democrats had succeeded in their plans to block the Town Centre Regeneration Fund’.
