Local Origin Rural Network (LORN) consortium is running its 2009 Christmas Fayre indoors in the Victory Hall in Benderloch. This allows it to run the Fayre daily for considerably longer than before. Dates and times are:
- Thursday 3rd December: 10.00am – 3.00pm and 17.30pm – 8.00pm
- Thursday 17th December: 10.00am – 3.00pm and 17.30pm – 8.00pm
Now sit down calmly and take a deep breath – here’s what will be in offer:
- Oysters, Mussels, Smoked fish & pates, Fresh fish,
- Soup, Sausage Rolls, Mulled fruit juice
- Free range pork, Jacob mutton, Highland beef, Dexter Beef, Goose,
- Salad oils, Jams, Pickles, Mincemeat, Seasonal preserves
- Cheese
- Cakes, Biscuits, Sweet pies, Mince pies, Christmas puddings
- Chocolates, Tablet
- Mistletoe, Indoor flower bulbs, Composting
- Jewellery, Bead work, Christmas Decorations, Pyrography, Fairy cards
- Felt work, Knitwear, Quilting, Stitch craft, Sheepskins, Photography. Reiki
- Time Banking, Cookery Demonstration
- Music, Entertainment
This list really does carry all of the evocations of Christmas. Good to see local producers combining to market and present their products in this enjoyable and accessible way.
