Helensburgh Lifeboat was on a shout this afternoon (27th November) at 14.16, in response to an incident at the Erskine Bridge.
Information on the nature of the incident is being withheld.
This incident is something of a repetition of the Lifeboat’s last but late-night shout – at 22.50 hrs on 13th November, to the same place and with the same withholding of information.
Given what ‘incidents’ at the Erskine Bridge usually mean – and particularly with a Lifeboat summoned to the bridge – what these stories do tell us, though, is the frequency with which desperate people make thier way to this iconic span across the Clyde.
We assume that these two shouts ended without the need for any intervention from the boat – which is very good news.
