72,234 people signed a simple e-petition placed on the No 10 website: ‘We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to resign’.

We know how much attention he paid because he’s still there but he has just responded to the petition.

As one of the 72,234 signatories, For Argyll got the email just after 6.00pm. today (4th November). It said:

The Prime Minister is completely focussed on restoring the economy, getting people back to work and improving standards in public services. As the Prime Minister has consistently said, he is determined to build a stronger, fairer, better Britain for all’.

In Brown=speak, this could be interpreted as: ‘It is right that I stay’.
