Mull musicians on BBC ALBA and on international tour

Tobermory’s talented Sorren Maclean and the Colin MacIntyre band are on Rapal at 10.00pm on BBC ALBA on Wednesday 14th October (Sky channel 168, Freesat channel 110 and BBC iPlayer).

Sorren is playing 5 songs and Colin is doing a solo song from the band’s new album, Island.

After that, Sorren and Gordon Maclean (also Director of Toberymory’s innovative Arts Centre, An Tobar) are off with Colin Macintyre (aka Mull Historical Society – a name for a band once heard never forgotten) – on a major tour to promote the album.

The band has already done two dates on this tour – The Island Tour – starting with a Homecoming gig at Aros Hall in Tobermory on 4th September and then crossing the Atlantic to play The Living Room in New York.

The rest of the tour dates are:

  • 15th October: Edinburgh – The Voodoo Rooms
  • 16th October: Glasgow – Stereo
  • 18th October: Inverness – Hootenanny
  • 19th October: Sheffield – Leadmill
  • 20th October: Bristol – The Thekla
  • 21st October: London – The Lexingtom (Fleur de Lys Club)
  • 22nd October: Manchester – Night and Day
  • 23rd October: Nottingham – Rescue Rooms
  • 27th October: Brighton – Latest Music Bar
  • 28th October: Birmingam – Glee Club
  • 29th October: Minehead – The Hobbyhorse
  • 6th November: Liverpool – Zanzibar (Liverpool Music Week)
