Death at Glensanda Quarry

In what is thought to have been an industrial accident, a man has died at the superquarry at Glensanda on the side of Loch Linnhe in Morvern in historical Argyll. The giant quarry, with residential quarters for those who work there, can be reached only by sea.

An emergency phone call was made on Sunday 18th October just after 6.00pm. Northern Constabulary officers are at the scene and are investigating the incident.

The victim has been named as 24 year-old Kenneth Campbell from Dunbeg, near Oban, who was a fitter at Glensanda.
