11.00 11th October: Yesterday’s first day of this year’s Classic hit the waves at Balephuil beach. Conditions weren’t great but enough to start the Amateurs, Masters and Ladies rounds.
Dave Gayda, Keith Shorrocks, Mark Seaney and Jacobi got through to the last 8 of the Masters before the wind died off.
The Amateurs went through more rounds to get to the last 4, seeing current UKWA/BWA leader, Dave Horrocks with Lecky Gayda, Roger Hollies and David Bichan.
Just after 6.00pm, Head Judge Duncan Coombes called it for the day so the Ladies didn’t get to sail.
Today’s action (11th October) kicked off at 7.45am – again at Balephuil and with winds of up to 20 mph.
