Oban Lifeboat on two shouts today

Scotland’s busiest RNLI Lifeboat, Oban’s Mora Edith Macdonald, added two to her tally of shouts today.

She launched first at 16.47 to go the aid of the yacht Four Belles. The yacht had gone aground on an islet North of Lismore with two persons aboard.

By 17.40 the Lifeboat had towed the yacht off, escorting her to a local marina at Oban, casting off the tow at 17.55.

Under 3 hours later, at 20.31, the Lifeboat was launched again to assist a person thought to be in trouble at Connel Bridge. She was re-called at 20.50 and was refuelled and ready for service again at 21.30.
