For Argyll’s site traffic continues to grow strongly in every way. The picture shows:
- an increase of 17.5% in unique visits in June from the May figures
- an increase of 126% in unique visits from start to finish of the first 6 months of 2009
- an increase of 670% in unique visits from end June 2008 to end June 2009
And Alexa shows ForArgyll.com as the most viewed Argyll website.
This demonstrates that we are delivering on our founding intentions:
- to inform Argyll on itself and on matters of importance to the area
- to inform an audience beyond Argyll on the almost bewildering riches of this unsung place, marrying accessibility and remoteness like no other
- to promote, to the utmost of our ability, any and all initiatives raising Argyll’s game internally and externally – from Argyll and Bute Council flying our marine renewable energy flag in the European Union, to the humbling creative invention and drive in communities, small and large, across Argyll’s great sweep of island and mainland territory.
We support and complement the local newspapers in Argyll who do an increasingly good job on the ground, alongside us in the ether. Together we’re a force to be reckoned with for Argyll.
This site is not yet as comprehensive as it will be and we know we drop the odd ball. In a small and madly sleepless team, that’s inevitable. But hey, it’s fun – so keep the news coming and talk to us about what will help you. We ignore nobody. We’re all for Argyll.
