Less of a pot boiler, more of a steamer – Mull Theatre’s contribution to the Homecoming Scotland 2009 programme comes in to dock at the Victory Hall in Benderloch on 24th July. Well, not quite. Here’s the scenario:
Everyone’s on board the ferry on their way back for the big Homecoming dance. But there’s a strong north-easterly and they can’t get into the pier. So with the boat and the passengers going roon’ and roon’, all they need is a well stocked bar and ‘once-famous’ Highland entertainer, Calum MacAskill, to get a right good ceilidh going.
This is family entertainment with comedy, adventure, poetry and song – not to mention live music, a bit of a ceilidh dance with scenes from Para Handy, Whisky Galore, Kidnapped and Katie Morag. Take a trip round the islands without leaving the Victory Hall.
Last time Mull Theatre came to Benderloch it was a sell-out with standing room only – so booking is the only way to be sure you get to see this one. Phone 01631 720498.
