Mull Theatre Island nights cropLess of a pot boiler, more of a steamer – Mull Theatre’s contribution to the Homecoming Scotland 2009 programme comes in to dock at the Victory Hall in Benderloch on 24th July. Well, not quite. Here’s the scenario:

Everyone’s on board the ferry on their way back for the big Homecoming dance. But there’s a strong north-easterly and they can’t get into the pier. So with the boat and the passengers going roon’ and roon’, all they need is a well stocked bar and ‘once-famous’ Highland entertainer, Calum MacAskill, to get a right good ceilidh going.

This is family entertainment with comedy, adventure, poetry and song – not to mention live music, a bit of a ceilidh dance with scenes from Para Handy, Whisky Galore, Kidnapped and Katie Morag. Take a trip round the islands without leaving the Victory Hall.

Last time Mull Theatre came to Benderloch it was a sell-out with standing room only – so booking is the only way to be sure you get to see this one. Phone 01631 720498.

For other venues on this hilarious summer tour, see the Island Nights Entertainment page on the Mull Theatre website.
