Solve the mystery and see the guilty one go down. Inveraray’s Bluebell festival, a Homecoming 2009 event, has a novel, active and interactive excitement in its programme tomorrow on 23rd May.

A murder is committed at Argyll’s beautiful Crarae Farden, a woodland gorge on the shores of Loch Fyne, with secret places, mysterious trails, dark waterfalls and exotic blooming rhododendrons and towering trees to distract you from the clues. But the clues are there for you to solve – and they’ll be there between 10.00am and 4.00pm tomorrow. Get that forensic detective spirit cranked up and get to Crarae during that time to start your personal challange to Hercule Poirot.

And bring your own Hastings – as many as you like, Make it a team challenge.Budding sleuths of all ages are welcome. You pay only the normal Garden Admission (and nothing at all if you’re a National Trust for Scotland Member – or become one, or take out a family membership, on the day).

Then to the conclusion of your efforts. Make a day of it. With the perpetrator identifed by your skills on your daytime investigation at the scene of the crime, get yourselves to Inveraray Jail in good time for the start of the trial of the accused – starting at 7.00pm sharp. The law waits for no man.

Argyll’s Walking Theatre Company is charged with managing the trial and you will find that you and your evidence have a part to play. Jusitice may not be done if your evidence is not on offer. Justice may not be done anyway, of course. That’s life. Try an appeal. You know what you found at Crarae and you can see this through to a successful conviction. Poirot may have to wax his moustache a little mor vigorously.

There are limited tickets for the trial so back your judgement, see it through and book yours now.
