In July 2008 For Argyll reported that the Sanda Island chain was on the market. It still is. It’s for sale to offers over £2,750,000, through Knight Frank. Our previous article, linked above, the agent’s description and the photograph above, of the Sanda Lighthouse, together give a sense of the place.

The little islands lie just inside the east end of the Mull of Kintyre and south of the entrance to Campbeltown Loch at Davaar Island. They have stunning 36 degree views – to the north coast of Ireland, to Kintyre, to the Isle of Arran and to Ailsa Craig (Paddy’s Milestone) in Girvan Bay on the Ayrshire coast.
