This weekend, starting on Friday 5th December, traffic on the Erskine Bridge will be disrupted because of painting trial and welding repairs. The Bridge will operate with one lane running in each direction.

Apart from this, traffic from Argyll running into and out of Glasgow via the Great Western Road (A82) and using the bridge in either or both directions will be the least affected.

The major disruption will be for traffic leaving Glasgow on the Great Western (A82) and intending to cross the Erskine Bridge to the south side of the Clyde. from this direction, the slip onto the bridge is closed. Traffic will be required to drive further westwards to the Dunglass Roundabout, returning towards Glasgow and taking the eastbound approach to the Bridge.

The southbound cycle track and footpath will remain closed throughout.
