Kintyre Cultural Forum hosts development seminar on 19th March

One for the diary - Kintyre Cultural Forum are hosting a seminar on 19th March 2009, focused on cultural development plans for the area.
The heart of the plan is the exploration of the feasibiity of establishing a Cultural Centre in Campbeltown for Kintyre.
The Forum has been conducting an audit to gather initial evidence.
- Event promoters of all kinds in the area have been asked what they would like to see in such a centre to faclitate the sort of events they run.
- Activity and special interest groups have been polled on the facilities that would develop their work in the community.
- Other community consultations are ongoing.
The results of the audit wil be the subject of the seminar in March. This is a significant initiative with the potential to develop and support creative and cultural energies in this historic part of Argyll. The seminar is in the For Argyll Events Calendar. Details of time and venue will be added shortly.
